Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions

These are the simple, fair terms for using PDFMingo. We have kept them in plain English so you know exactly what to expect from our free, privacy-first PDF tools.

Last updated: 18 July 2026

The short version

1. Acceptance of these terms

By visiting pdfmingo.com and using any of its tools, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. When we say "we", "us" or "PDFMingo", we mean the team that runs this website (PDFMingo, operated from India, reachable at info@mingovex.com); "you" means anyone who uses it.

2. What PDFMingo provides

PDFMingo offers a set of free online tools to arrange, merge, split, compress and convert PDF, Word, Excel and image files. Most tools run locally in your browser. Four tools (PDF to Word, PDF to Excel, Word to PDF and Excel to PDF), along with the PDF Editor's "Edit PDF Text" and image background-removal features, process your file on our secure conversion server and then delete it immediately after your result is ready, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

3. Using the tools fairly

You agree to use PDFMingo only for lawful purposes and only with files you own or have permission to work with. You agree not to:

4. No account, no fees

The tools are provided free of charge and do not require an account. We may add, change or remove tools and features at any time to keep the service useful and sustainable.

5. Your files and content

You keep all rights to the files you process. We do not claim ownership of anything you open with our tools. Because browser tools never upload your files, and the server tools delete them straight after conversion, we do not retain your documents. Please always keep your own copy of any original file before converting it.

6. Service provided "as is"

PDFMingo is offered on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we work hard to make the tools accurate and reliable, we cannot guarantee that every conversion will be perfect for every file, or that the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free. The quality of a result can depend on how the original PDF was created.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, PDFMingo is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, including any loss of data or any issue with a converted file. You use the tools at your own discretion and risk, and you are responsible for keeping backups of your original files.

8. Third-party services

To run in your browser and stay fast, the site relies on trusted third parties such as web hosting and content delivery networks (site fonts are hosted on our own domain; the PDF Editor's optional font picker uses Google Fonts). Their use is covered in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the content or practices of any external sites we may link to.

9. Intellectual property

The PDFMingo name, logo, design and site content are owned by us. The tools are built on open-source libraries that remain the property of their respective authors. You may use the site for its intended purpose, but you may not copy or republish its design or branding without permission. Microsoft, Word and Excel are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation; Adobe and PDF are associated with Adobe Inc.; PDFMingo is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by either company.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, the jurisdiction from which PDFMingo operates. Nothing in these terms removes any rights you have under the consumer-protection laws of your own country.
